3 iPhone tips for those who want to get started quickly with Apple Intelligence!

If your iPhone is completely up to date but you still haven’t done anything with Apple Intelligence, then these tips are exactly what you need.

3 tips for Apple Intelligence

Since November 3, you can update your iPhone to iOS 26.1 and you can also use Apple Intelligence. If you haven’t done so yet, these three iPhone tips will help you get started right away!

1. How to use Genmoji

With the new AI function Genmoji you can generate all kinds of emojis. If you are going to use it for the first time, it is especially nice to use a photo of yourself or a friend as a basis. Then you decide how far you go with it. The principle works as follows:

  1. Open the Playground app;

  2. Tap ‘Style’ at the top and choose ‘Genmoji’;

  3. Tap the colored figure at the bottom right;

  4. Choose the desired person;

  5. Choose your favorite emoji or tap ‘Edit’ at the bottom of the person;

  6. Adjust anything if necessary and then tap ‘Add emoji’ at the top right.

You can now use the emoji you created as a kind of sticker in many places. Think of the Messages app and WhatsApp. They then simply stand at the front among the other emojis. Just make sure you use your iPhone’s default keyboard, as it doesn’t work with all other keyboards.

2. Find photos with natural language

If you are looking for a specific photo, you can describe it in plain words thanks to Apple Intelligence. For example, if you’re looking for a photo of your cat basking in the sun, just type ‘cat sun’ in the search box and the photo will probably appear immediately. It also works for people and animals known in ‘Persons and Pets’. In that case you can also simply enter your cat’s name.

3. How to use Writing Assistance (Writing Tools)

You can use this handy function to correct, rewrite or summarize texts. And that works easier than you might think. The feature is available in many different apps, such as Notes and Messages. All you really need to do is select the text you want to edit.

The options ‘Correct’ and ‘Rewrite’ will then immediately appear at the bottom. But also the options ‘Friendly’, ‘Professional’ and ‘Concise’. A little further down you will also see ‘Summary’, ‘Key Points’, ‘List’ and ‘Table’. If you don’t see all these options, tap the Apple Intelligence icon.

You can use all these options right away, but you can also choose to decide more yourself. Then enter what exactly you want in ‘Describe your change’. Writing Assistant will then do it for you right away.
