3 reasons to give Moleskine Actions task app a chance

Always so busy in your head? Then Moleskine Actions might be the solution for you. This new task app makes clear schedules, makes useful suggestions and also works intuitively.

Moleskine Actions: To-do app for busy bees

Moleskine Actions is the new to-do app from the same makers as Timepage, voted the best calendar app in the App Store in 2016. It was made for the busy bees among us: people whose brains are always on and one idea after another comes to mind. The app makes writing down tasks and ideas easy, works intuitively and also saves you time. We highlight three reasons why you should give Moleskine Actions a try.

1. Create your own planner

With Moleskine Actions you can create your own unique planner in no time. The most striking feature is the fact that the app understands ‘normal’ language and therefore everything works very naturally. When you indicate that you have to water the plants every Friday, the app understands this and automatically places the task in the calendar. If desired, you can add details, such as a specific time.

You drag the tasks from one category to another, which gives you a clear overview. You determine the different categories by means of colors that you choose yourself. When you have created a number of categories, the app also automatically makes suggestions to group certain tasks together, in order to maintain an overview. So, for example, if you have the categories ‘homework’ and ‘chores’, the app will after a while make the suggestion to merge these two.

In addition, you can create so-called action cards, in which you write down things that you do not want to forget, but are in principle not a task. Think of writing down a good book suggestion or movie tip.

2. Intuitive operation

Second, the app is very intuitive. We already mentioned it for a while: hanging tasks under the right heading, for example, is very easy by dragging. The app is also logically structured, allowing you to quickly switch between creating tasks and viewing your overview. Are you done with a task? Then you simply swipe it away to the left. If you swipe the other way, the task will be deleted.

Not into typing? Good news. You can also use Siri to create tasks. The only drawback: you have to speak English (or German), but Dutch does not ‘understand’ the tasks app (yet).

3. Hand over work

Third, Moleskine Actions is committed to making your life as smooth as possible. If you write down that you arrange your administration every second Tuesday of the month, the app will automatically schedule this. If you wish, you can receive a notification by then, so that you do not forget. You will receive this in the morning, afternoon or evening according to your preferences. You can also choose a time yourself.

If you change phones, there is no man overboard. Your tasks, categories and calendar are automatically synchronized with the cloud.

It is especially unfortunate that the app is not in Dutch. Typing must be done in English or German. The app costs 11.99 euros per twelve months, so about 1 euros per month.
