WhatsApp without an account
There will be a new function to WhatsApp! The messaging service regularly publishes test versions of the application, in which new features are rolled out for a limited number of users. In the latest test version of WhatsApp it is possible to use the messaging service, without the need for an account. That is a big change, because that way you can use WhatsApp without the application.
Do you want to start a conversation with someone who does not have an account on WhatsApp and has not installed the app? Then you can share a link to a temporary conversation soon. This is called a ‘guest conversation’ by WhatsApp, in which you can send messages to someone who does not use WhatsApp themselves. WhatsApp does not have to be installed for this guest conversation, instead the web version of the messaging service is used.
Major limitations
It will soon be much easier to send messages to users without an account on WhatsApp. Unfortunately, that is not without limitations, because in the guest discussions you will not get access to all functions of WhatsApp. This way you cannot send photos, videos or GIF files in the conversation. The same applies to speech or video areas, you can’t send them in a guest conversation either.
Other functions that are missing in guest conversations are video and speech calls. Do you want to call someone via WhatsApp? In that case, an account for WhatsApp is therefore a requirement. The new function is primarily intended for sending text messages, so that you do not have to use any other messaging service. An account must be created for all additional functions of WhatsApp.

A maximum of two people can participate in the guest conversations in WhatsApp. The new function is therefore intended for one-on-one interviews. Users without an account cannot be invited for a group conversation in WhatsApp. The guest conversations are end-to-end-seduct, just like all other conversations within the messaging service. That way you know for sure that your messages remain private, even during guest conversations.
WhatsApp has added the new function to a test version for Android users. New parts usually follow much later in the iOS version of WhatsApp. It is expected that the guest discussions will be rolled out for all users within a few weeks to months.
