3D wood for Bentley Flying Spur

Ever since the Mulsanne disappeared, Bentley limousine buyers have had to settle for a humble Bentley Flying Spur. The plaster on the wound is made of wood this time.

Three-dimensional wood, to be precise. Bentley adds a special option to the Flying Spur’s already lengthy price list. The rear door panels can apparently be provided with the motif of the stitched leather on the front copies, but then entirely of wood.

The large panel is cut by hand from a block of walnut or cherry wood. Something similar was seen in 2015 in the EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept, a two-seater coupe in Continental GT style. It is not yet known what the wood panels in the back of the Flying Spur will cost.

The special door panels are in addition to the other luxury items that have been introduced for the fresh Flying Spur since the disappearance of the Mulsanne. For example, it has recently become possible to order the only Bentley sedan as a four-seater, which improves comfort in the rear. Bentley now literally calls his Flying Spur his flagship, which would have been unthinkable at the time of the Mulsanne.
