1. Noise reduction and transparency mode

In contrast to the first AirPods, the AirPods Pro has a noise canceling function, so that annoying ambient noises cannot be heard or can only be heard to a limited extent. But there is also a transparency mode, which allows you to hear outside sounds. This can be useful if, for example, you get on a bicycle and want to continue to hear the traffic around you. You can switch between the different modes by pressing and holding the pressure sensor until you hear a sound.

Did you know that you can also activate the noise cancellation for one earpiece? To do this, go to the settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap Accessibility and then on Noise cancellation for one AirPod. You can also easily switch between the different modes via your Apple Watch, by tapping the AirPlay icon.

2. Fit test

If the earplugs are not completely comfortable, you can opt for smaller or larger ear pads. These come standard with the AirPods Pro. According to Apple, it is important for the sound quality and noise reduction that you use the correct fit. To find out, you can take a fit test. Go to the settings on your iPad or iPhone and tap Bluetooth. Tap the info button next to the AirPods in the device list and choose Fit test. After the test you will see whether the earplugs fit your ears sufficiently.

3. Make phone calls and listen to music together

You can listen to music together via the Share audio option.

It is possible to share the AirPods Pro with someone to listen to music together or to have a phone call. Although your earbuds contain two microphones, you can only use one at a time. If you want to listen to music with a friend, you can choose the option Share audio use.
