When spring arrives, people traditionally get a broom through the house. All furniture is lifted from its place for a moment to tackle every corner and so enter this new period clean and tidy. Do you also want to tackle your iPhone? With these quick tips your device will also feel completely tidy.

1. Get rid of apps you no longer use

There are probably quite a few apps on your iPhone that you never actually use. You can put them away in a folder or on another page, but it only gives a really tidy feeling when you delete them.

To do this, hold your finger on an app until all apps start to shake and a cross appears in the corner of each app icon. Then go through all the apps and press the crosses of the apps you want to remove. You can download apps again later if you need them again.

2. Place apps in folders

You can easily put the remaining apps in folders to tidy up your device. Drag an application over another app and the folder will form automatically. Place apps together that have the same purpose, such as chatting or shopping. Or group apps whose icons have the same color. The result gives peace of mind, just like a tidy bookcase.

3. Choose a new background

Try a new wallpaper. A busy background can make you feel restless. Choose a relaxed background with an even color, or perhaps a nice photo of nature. To adjust the background, go to ‘Settings> Background’ and select ‘Choose a new background’.

4. Limit your notifications with two taps

If something gives you a restless feeling, it is unnecessary notifications. Not only do they keep appearing, but they also accumulate in your lock screen. Tired of notifications from a specific app? Then press and hold that notification and tap the three dots. Then choose ‘Switch off’.

5. Remove those red dots

6. Make use of the adjustable control panel

The control panel on your iPhone, with quick settings around, among other things, the brightness of the screen and the control of your music, is adjustable. You do this by going to ‘Control panel’ in the settings menu and selecting ‘Adjust controls’.

Here you can place the camera, dictaphone, alarm clock, calculator, notes and many more functions of iOS apps. This means that you do not have to put the apps on your home screen to use those apps quickly. That clears up!

7. Free up space
