Significantly more new passenger cars were registered in February this year than in the same month last year. Kia was the most popular car brand in the Netherlands in February, followed by Hyundai.

In January this year, the Dutch car market recorded a growth rate of about 7 percent and that positive trend continued in February. Last month, 28,128 new passenger cars were registered in the Netherlands, according to data from RAI Association, Bovag and RDC. That was no less than 23.8 percent more than in February 2022. The year counter is currently at 60,822 new passenger cars. That is 13.5 percent more than in the first two months of 2022.
