‘Warned’

Tesla is once again causing some commotion in the car industry by implementing significant price reductions. Renault CEO Fabrice Cambolive seems to suggest that Renault is even reviewing its pricing strategy as a result.
Tesla is busy again in the car world, because it has already reduced the prices of the Model 3 by a total of €10,000 since December and the Model S and Model X have even dropped €10,000 in one fell swoop. However, the competition is not standing still. Ford previously decided to take a bite out of the price of the Mustang Mach-E because of Tesla’s aggressive strategy, and now Renault also seems to be sounding an alarm.
The CEO of Renault, Fabrice Cambolive, explains according to Autonews that the price reductions have reached Renault as ‘a warning’. “Obviously this is a challenge, especially in terms of cost. It’s a warning that we’re looking at. We’ll look country by country and market by market to see what level of competitiveness is needed to stay in the game.” So will the price of the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric, for example, soon be cut? Or will its upcoming big brother Scénic be priced extra competitively? We shall see.
