Ducati has issued a recall for the new Diavel V4. The left and right passenger footrests may break, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

On March 27, Ducati received a report from a dealer that a left footrest of a Diavel V4 had broken off while unfolding. This happened during the preparation of the motorcycle and therefore before the motorcycle was delivered to the customer.
An investigation was immediately launched at Ducati, which revealed that a specific batch of left and right pillion passenger footpegs, identified with code “K22”, may have been affected by an error in the forging process.
Ducati has identified the Diavel V4 models equipped with the “K22” batch left and right duo footpegs. Ducati has received no reports of crashes or injuries from the field.
On April 6, Ducati issued a recall. At the Ducati dealers, the “K22” code duo footrests will be replaced by new ones. As of April 6, all engines have been post production checked and inspected and code “K22” footpegs have been replaced.
