Vinfast VF8

A special piece of aftersales at Vinfast. The brand will pay customers for every defect that the car shows. Depending on the intensity of the defect, the amount that Vinfast transfers to you for a single defect can already amount to €280.

Vinfast is either strongly convinced of the quality of its products, or hopes, with its new and above all special after-sales policy, that customers will think that is the case. VinFast is introducing in Europe what it calls its Special Aftersales Policy, an aftersales strategy whereby it pays its customers for any defect that a Vinfast car shows. That is something different than a courtesy arrangement.

Does your kakel version Vinfast suffer from an ailment or shortcoming that causes discomfort but does not affect driving the car? Then Vinfast will transfer €95 to you. Does your Vinfast show an ailment that prevents you from driving the car? Then Vinfast not only arranges roadside assistance, but also increases the amount on your bank account by €280. Does something need to be repaired that means you have to miss your Vinfast for more than three days? Then from the fourth Vinfast-free day of Vinfast you will receive €95 per day that your car is lost.

Vinfast says it is a temporary after-sales policy and does not indicate how long it has been pursuing this strategy, which is fairly unique in the car world. A few comments: Vinfast will of course first want to verify the problems with the car itself and says to transfer the amounts mentioned if the Vinfast driver is entitled to them or to pay them in vouchers. The after-sales policy does not apply to ailments or problems caused by adjustments or – and this is important – software updates. Did you break something or was your Vinfast involved in an accident? Even then you can of course whistle for your money.

In the Netherlands, Vinfast currently offers the VF8 and the VF9. At least the VF6 and VF7 will follow later.
