The Hyundai Tucson has been a direct hit in sales for years. The Tucson and the much smaller i10 regularly compete in our country for the number one position within the Hyundai ranks. Hyundai is also doing good business internationally with its medium-sized SUV. It is therefore not surprising that the brand likes to keep the Tucson up to date. On these spy pictures we see the facelifted Hyundai Tucson for the first time.

In the first five months of this year, Hyundai has already registered 2,471 copies of the car in the Netherlands. That is almost as many as Peugeot of the 2008 and more than Toyota of the Aygo X. There are even almost one and a half times as many new Tucsons registered this year than Hyundai’s i10. Although the Hyundai i10 was the most popular new Hyundai in our country in 2022, the Tucson was again in 2021. The current fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson will be running from the end of 2020, which means that the car will be three years old later this year. With a facelift, Hyundai hopes to keep the Tucson fresh enough to continue its sales success for a few more years.

The lighting, like the grille itself, is different from the current model.

In the Austrian Alps, Hyundai has started testing with a packed prototype of the renewed Tucson. The car in the photos still hangs fanatically in the camouflage stickers, but you can already see a few things from the refreshed appearance. For example, the grille gets a new interpretation and Hyundai also seems to apply the lighting incorporated in the grille in a slightly different way. We are already seeing something of the apparently new LED segments. The rear light party seems to come through the bijpunt session unscathed. We also see new alloy wheels and Hyundai is undoubtedly hanging new bumpers on the Tucson.

What Hyundai has in store for the Tucson remains to be seen. We aim for the current hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains to return. Hyundai may make changes to the screens that you will find in the interior. Don’t be surprised if the updated Tucson becomes available with a larger infotainment screen and a larger digital instrument panel.
