Alpine A110 S Enstone Edition

Alpine is as French as it gets, right? Well, not quite. The Alpine Formula 1 team is headquartered in Enstone, UK, and now there is a special Alpine A110 as a tribute to that British branch.

Alpine’s Formula 1 team is almost as English as the brand itself is French. It operates from Enstone, from where it previously operated under the banner of Renault and previously as Lotus and in the 1990s even as … Benetton. So actually a British-French team, while the British and the French have the reputation of not going through the same door very well. However, Alpine does not want to know anything about that. In fact, it now even comes with a true tribute to its British department. The umpteenth limited Alpine A110; the A110 S Enstone Edition.

It is no coincidence that the Alpine A110 S Enstone Edition will be unveiled ahead of next weekend’s British Formula 1 Grand Prix. After all, that is a bit of a home race for Alpine, especially now that the Grand Prix of France is no longer on the calendar. The Enstone Edition can celebrate the home party with, among other things, various carbon fiber accents in the interior. Not just any carbon fiber, but carbon sourced from the Enstone factory. In theory, that could also have been on Alpine’s F1 cars. On the roof we see the lines of the Union Jack in glossy black. This is standard on units intended for the United Kingdom and optional on units available elsewhere. A special plaque in the center tunnel reminds you that you are on the road in one of the 300 copies of the Enstone Edition.

The technical basis remains the same, the basis is the A110 S, the 300 hp strong subtopper. However, the Enstone Edition is on new matt black 18-inch wheels and at an additional cost there is an Aero Kit for some aerodynamic extras. The Alpine A110 S Enstone Edition will soon be available from €96,990.
