Answer to all questions?

Will the car salesman who can tell you all about a new model in a showroom soon be out of work? According to a company that specializes in video presentations using artificial intelligence, yes.
Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming part of life and ideas about what is possible with it are popping up like mushrooms. The Swedish company Phyron also sees a future for it in the car trade. In principle, a good car salesman knows almost everything about the models in the showroom, but there are always some details that he or she has to look up. And yes, a salesman in the showroom is of course an expense for the car company with his or her salary. According to Phyron, artificial intelligence can create a ‘sales robot’ that can do at least the same.
According to Phyron, which already uses AI to make video presentations for the automotive industry, a chatbot can be developed within two years that perfectly understands the wishes and questions of the customer. That chatbot can then not only explain a model, but also help the customer, for example, to put together the ideal car. Phyron is working on a language model that works in a similar way to ChatGPT, but is tailored for use in the automotive sector. “It’s only a matter of time before the technology is so advanced that ChatGPT can get very close to how a salesperson sells cars. We believe this could be as early as 2025, based on the current rate of AI development and adoption,” said the company’s CEO.
What do you think, is this a welcome addition? Could it completely replace the human salesperson, or would you rather just have a person to help you choose a new car?
