All-electric Lamborghini: a first glimpse

In 2028, Lamborghini will add its first fully electrically powered model to its stable. That will take a while, but the Italians will soon give away what you can expect from that first Lamborghini. On August 18, Lamborghini pulls the curtain off a study model of which it already shows a shadow.

Lamborghini cannot escape electrification either. From next year, the brand will only sell models with an electrified powertrain, which means that the Urus and the successor to the Huracán will benefit to a certain extent from electric power in its upcoming refresh. So you can count on these cars to be powered by an electrically supported petrol engine. They will not be fully electric, but Lamborghini will really walk the EV path in the future. That will happen for the first time from 2028 and with a study model that Lamborghini will launch on August 18, the Italians will already show what will be in the showrooms – approximately – in 4-5 years.

The 2008 Lamborghini Estoque Concept

On a shadowy teaser plate that Lamborghini has launched into the world today, we already get to see part of the silhouette of the electric future vision. What exactly Lamborghini has ready? That is still the question. The windows and the shoulders of the car seem to have some similarities with those of the Estoque Concept. The Estoque Concept launched in 2008 was a study model with which Lamborghini seemed to hint at the arrival of a Porsche Panamera or Aston Martin Rapide-like. However, it never went into production. However, we should not count on a four-door. It was previously announced through CEO Stephan Winkelmann that the car will be a two-door 2+2 – with a small rear seat – and that the newcomer will have a relatively large ground clearance.
