Mercedes-AMG has not yet recovered from the party surrounding the unveiling of the AMG GT, or it is already busy testing with the next newcomer, the Mercedes-AMG E53.
Almost to the day two months ago, Mercedes-Benz pushed forward the brand new E-Class Estate. A sturdy station wagon, with a longer wheelbase and slightly longer body than its predecessor. Not the epitome of sportsmanship, you might say. Yet Mercedes-AMG is also venturing again and soon there will be both an E63 and a somewhat milder E53 on the market. We see the second one here, which can be recognized, among other things, by the round exhaust ends. With the E63, they are logically trapezoidal again.
Of course, it does not stop with just these differences. We expect to find the biggest difference under the hood. The Mercedes-AMG E53 gets a blown 2.0 four-cylinder that, together with the electric motor, will probably mobilize towards 600 hp, the E63 will undoubtedly go well beyond that, since the C63 is already 680 hp strong. The question is still whether the E63 will also get a four-cylinder, or a six-cylinder or even a V8. Competitor BMW M5 (also as Touring) will also be a plug-in hybrid and may receive the V8 and electric motor of the XM.
The Mercedes-AMG E53 also comes as a sedan.
