Netflix is the most popular streaming service and is used in more than 190 countries worldwide. Netflix releases new films, series, seasons and documentaries every week, but you cannot watch the same titles in every country and that has a special reason, according to Streamwijzer.
Netflix wants the best viewing experience
The fact that you cannot watch the same titles in every country has everything to do with Netflix wanting to offer each country and its users the best viewing experience. And if there are no subtitles or dubbing, this is not the ‘ultimate viewing experience’, according to Netflix.
That is why there are no fewer than 1,100 hidden films and series on Dutch Netflix, but they are not shown if you search for them, for example. A spokesperson for the streaming service quotes: “If we do not have subtitles or dubbing available for a title in the language the member has set in their profile, the title will not be visible. Netflix does this because they assume that members will not like it if they cannot enjoy the title in their own language.”
So how can you view the hidden titles?
For example, if your English, German or French is very good, you can watch many ‘foreign’ series and films. It is also very easy to watch the hidden films and series. To view the titles, go to the settings. You click account (by the way, the images below are in English):
