Samsung announces that with the new One UI 6.1 update, Galaxy AI will also be available for multiple Galaxy devices, including the S22 series. Read here which Galaxy devices are affected and when the update will be available.
Galaxy AI was initially only available on the Galaxy S24 series. Galaxy AI came out in March [1] also available on the Galaxy S23 series, the S23 FE, the Z Fold5, the Z Flip5 and the Tab S9 series via the One UI 6.1 update. After this successful update in March, Samsung is now announcing the second rollout phase. One UI 6.1 will also be available on the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Tab S8 series from May. This makes mobile AI accessible to an even wider audience.
Since its rollout in March, 8.8 million users have downloaded and used the update. This number is increasing every day and Samsung aims to give more than 100 million users access to Galaxy AI by the end of 2024.
Circle to Search
The most used AI features since launch include Live Translate, Live Transcribe, Chat Assist and Circle to Search with Google [2].
The One UI 6.1 update was downloaded by almost 75% of European Galaxy Z Fold5 users, 80% of S23 Ultra users and almost 65% of Tab S9 users, making it one of Samsung’s most popular software updates ever is.
