A year ago, Mercedes-Benz introduced the refreshed GLS, also known as the Mercedes-Maybach GLS. Now, however, the upper GLS has again appeared with a camouflaged nose and a second facelift seems to be on its way.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS appeared on the scene five years ago and was given a refresh last April. The facelift immediately included the Mercedes-Maybach version of the top SUV. What is our surprise: the Mercedes-Maybach GLS is now showing up again with a firmly wrapped front. This seems to mean that the GLS is awaiting a second additional session.
If we zoom in on the headlights, we see that they seem to have an extra extension downwards. That is apparently not a big, but still quite drastic change. The contour of the front bumper is therefore also different from now on and it appears that the shape of the grille is also being overhauled. Special, given the fairly recent changes to the GLS. Everything at the back remains the same.
We expect that there will be no very thorough technical changes, although there are undoubtedly some updates for the infotainment. We expect to welcome the renewed GLS – which will undoubtedly also receive a refresh as a Mercedes-Benz – sometime next year.
