Advanced hearing functions

With iOS 18.1, Apple introduces a number of advanced hearing features. It is then possible to perform a hearing test with the earphones. The AirPods emit different tones, to which you must respond by pressing the screen. This way you can check whether you have hearing damage without visiting an ear doctor. Do you want to prevent hearing damage? This is also possible with one of the new features of the AirPods Pro 2.

From iOS 18.1 it is possible to use the AirPods Pro 2 for hearing protection. The earphones block out loud noise, for example at concerts or festivals. This is not at the expense of the sound quality, because you can still hear it well through the AirPods. This way you can enjoy live music, but your ears are no longer exposed to loud noise.

More features for the AirPods Pro 2

With the new firmware you will soon be able to use the AirPods Pro 2 as a full-fledged hearing aid. The earphones adjust the sound based on the results of the hearing test.
