Apple has released another series of new products in 2024. The iPhone 16 series appeared and the company celebrated an anniversary with the tenth generation of the Apple Watch. In addition, new AirPods, Macs and iPads were released. We don’t have to wait long for the next Apple products, because they are expected in early 2025. Curious what Apple is planning? 1. iPhone SE 4
The most important announcement that Apple will make in early 2025 is probably about the iPhone SE 4. The current generation of the iPhone SE was released in 2022, making the phone outdated. It is therefore expected that Apple will implement major changes with the iPhone SE 4. The device will have a modified design that resembles the design of the iPhone 14.
This means that Apple will finally say goodbye to the home button in 2025, and the iPhone SE 4 will get Face ID instead. The phone will have a 6.1-inch OLED screen, as we previously saw on the iPhone 14. The camera is also being improved, according to rumors the iPhone SE will have a 48-megapixel camera next year. 2.iPad 11
Not only Apple’s cheapest iPhone is getting an update, the entry-level iPad model is also being updated. Apple will release the eleventh generation of the iPad in early 2025. The tablet will mainly receive an update under the hood, because the device probably runs on the A18 chip. With this processor, the iPad works with all the new functions of Apple Intelligence. Almost all new products will then have support for Apple Intelligence.
Apple made major design changes with the tenth generation of iPad. It is therefore expected that the design of the next iPad will remain virtually unchanged. 3. MacBook Air 2025
The MacBook Air has recently had an update, but will switch to a new processor in early 2025. With the release of the MacBook Pro 2024, Apple announced that the MacBook Air will come with 16 GB of RAM as standard. That’s a major improvement, because that was originally 8 GB of RAM. That version is no longer available, Apple has withdrawn that model from sale.
The MacBook Air 2025 will again have 16 GB of RAM, so that all Apple Intelligence functions can run smoothly on the device. In addition, the laptop will have an M4 chip, which we already see on the iPad Pro and the MacBook Pro. The current MacBook Air still runs on the M3 chip. Furthermore, the laptop will probably receive few changes, so it mainly concerns an update of the hardware.
4. iPad Air 2025
In addition to the MacBook Air, the iPad Air will also receive a minor update in early 2025. The tablet will be equipped with the M3 chip, the current iPad Air still runs on the M2 chip. This is a minor update for the tablet, as no other changes are expected. The iPad Air will get a new keyboard in 2025, and Apple is reportedly working on an updated version of the Magic Keyboard.
5. HomePad
According to rumors, Apple will also launch a completely new product in early 2025. The company is working on a tablet that is specially developed for operating your smart home. According to rumors, it will be a combination of the HomePod and the iPad. The HomePad consists of a 6-inch screen that you can attach to the speaker or to the wall. You can control all smart devices in your home via this screen.
Much is still unclear about Apple’s first product specifically developed for a smart home. In any case, it is almost certain that the device works with Apple Intelligence, unlike the current HomePod. Release early 2025
Apple will therefore immediately release five devices in early 2025. That’s not all, because a new generation of the AirTag may also appear. The AirTag 2 has better range, improvements in the chip and offers more privacy. The release of these new products is likely in the spring. Apple may then organize an event where the new iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air and HomePad will be shown.
