Apple is working on a new paid service that will probably appear with the arrival of iOS 19. You need to know this.
iOS 19 gets a completely new Apple service
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has been writing for years about a new paid service that Apple is working on. He previously called it a “wellness and coaching service” and recently an ‘AI-based coaching service’. The service must support Apple’s enormous health ambitions.
According to Gurman, this new service will have its own app and a fixed price per month. The aim of the service is to keep users motivated to exercise, improve their eating habits and help them sleep better.
The new service will likely be added to Apple One. Apple One currently consists of four Apple subscriptions for one lower monthly amount. The subscriptions now exist iCloud+, Apple TV+, Apple Music and Apple Arcade. The new service that will be added will probably appear with the arrival of iOS 19. Whether that is actually the case remains to be seen for the time being.

A virtual Apple Coach
The new service in iOS 19 is mainly a virtual coach that helps you live a healthier life. Gurman says about it:
The idea is to use AI and data from an Apple Watch to make suggestions and create coaching programs tailored to specific users.

He previously said the following:
Early considerations for the virtual health and fitness coach include the ability to generate eating, sleeping and exercise recommendations from data collected from Apple devices…There are concepts, too, for tapping into device cameras to track and correct users’ form while they’re exercising , similar to a feature offered on Peloton Interactive Inc.’s TV-connected workout device.

In other words, while Apple Fitness+ focuses on providing workout content, the new AI-powered service analyzes your health data and makes intelligent suggestions for a healthier life. The name of this virtual Apple Coach is not yet known.

The service will probably be released this year
The last thing Gurman said about the AI coaching service is in his overview of Apple’s plans for 2025, where he’s a bit vague about whether the service will debut this year or if that’s still unknown. But there is plenty of reason to believe that 2025 is the right time.
Apple has launched the first AI functions in iOS 18 (unfortunately still not in the Netherlands) and will undoubtedly expand them even further in iOS 19. The company is also reportedly working on a new Health app and expects several products with new features this fall. health features. For example, the AirPods Pro 3 will probably have a heart rate sensor, and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch Series 11 will have high blood pressure detection.
