The iPhone 16 has a handy function in the camera control that comes in handy when photographing. Taking photos becomes really easier!
iPhone 16: taking photos only becomes really easy with this function
With the iPhone you can take beautiful photos. But recent iPhones have received a number of new functions with which you can take even better photos. One of those functions is incorporated in the camera control (in English: Camera Control).

The camera control is a new part that you only see in the iPhone 16 (€ 785), iPhone 16 Plus (€ 929), iPhone 16 Pro (€ 1,039) and the iPhone 16 Pro Max (€ 1,186.99).

The new controller (it is not a real button) can be found on the right side of the new iPhones, under the lock button. That means that you cannot really press the camera control, instead the iPhone 16 uses vibrations to respond when you touch the button.
You can tap the camera regulator to start the camera app on your iPhone. The controller is set for zooming in and out by default. By gently wiping it over it you can then set the zoom factor. But with this controller you can also adjust various other functions. This allows you to take a lot of settings for taking your photos with one finger.

You do that by gently pressing the camera control twice in succession. You don’t have to fully press it, because then you take a photo. After gently pressing, you see a new row of icons, with which you can adjust the exposure, depth, cameras and styles, among other things.
Then wipe your finger over the camera control of the iPhone and select the option you want to use. Then press the regulator to make a choice. You can then adjust the settings of the chosen function by wiping over the camera control again. And you can do all this with one finger, while you have focused the iPhone on the subject.

Take photos on the iPhone just like a real camera
This makes photography with your iPhone a bit like a real camera. And if you take some extra effort to get the hang of those functions, you will take almost as beautiful photos with an iPhone in the foreseeable future as with a larger camera. There are even photograph Who only use the iPhone for taking photos.
