Last year, Apple introduced a beta version of Apple cards on the internet (or in the browser), with which users of other platforms gained access to the service for the first time. This function is no longer a beta and is also supported on mobile devices.
Because of this improvement, Apple cards on the internet are now available via maps.apple.cominstead of beta.apple.maps.com. But the biggest surprise is the support for mobile platforms. Previously, the web version of Apple cards was only available for browsers on desktops and tablets. In the meantime also for browsers on iPhones and Android phones.

The improvement of Apple cards will not make a big difference for the vast majority of iOS users. Android users can now choose to use Apple cards on the internet if they want.
With Apple cards on the internet, it is possible to explore the card, to search for companies and to find useful places, find route descriptions and view guides. Functions such as viewing buildings in 3D remain not available. It is also not possible to register with an Apple account to access stored places and custom guides.
A few months ago, Apple also made another improvement in Apple cards on the internet. The company then added support for the position of looking around at locations (look around). With that you can explore the area with panoramic images of 360 degrees. In places where it is available you can open this function on the binocular icon to tap Apple cards.
