It is almost time for the WWDC 2025! Every year Apple reveals the most important software updates during the WWDC and that is no different in 2025. Major changes are expected, because Apple introduces a new interface at iOS 26, iPados 26, Watchos 26, MacOS 26 and TVOS 26. Are you curious about what else can expect? These are our expectations for the WWDC 2025.
1. IOS 26
This year, iOS 26 (previously iOS 19) is the largest software update for the iPhone, and possibly even the biggest update in years. In the design we see many parts of Visionos, because more transparent frameworks and glass elements are added. In addition, a number of applications will receive a new layout and all Apple apps will receive renewed symbols. Apple Intelligence may also be expanded, so that the technology is finally available in Dutch.

2. IPados 26
At iPados 26, Apple introduces a similar design as with iOS 26 during the WWDC 2025. That means that more elements Visionos are added here too. Furthermore, according to rumors, iPados 26 works more like macOS, so that you can multitask better and probably fix files on the home screen. The tablet also gets a new menu, which makes it easier to navigate between and in applications.

3. Watchos 26
The Apple Watch receives support for Apple Intelligence with Watchos 26 for the first time. It is expected that Apple will announce during the WWDC that Watchos will be expanded with more fitness functions and a new health coach. This coach works with Apple Intelligence and gives personalized tips. Just like iOS 26 and iPados 26, Watchos 26 gets a new design, which is based on Visionos.

4. MacOS 26
This year Apple brings macOS 26 to the Mac (book) and it promises to be a major update. It is expected that Apple will unveil the new design of MacOS during the WWDC 2025. A menu bar for navigating in and between programs is added to this new design. According to rumors, the name of MacOS 26 is already known: that will be macOS Tahoe.

5. TVOS 26
Another operating system that gets a renewed design is TVOS 26. Apple provides all software versions with a similar interface, in order to create more unity between the software and clarity for users. Other expectations for TVOS 26 during the WWDC 2025 are a new Games app and improved WiFi synchronization. The renewed version of Siri may also be available on the Apple TV.

6. Homeos 26
The biggest surprise of the WWDC 2025 is possibly homeos. This is the completely new operating system for the Homepad. That device becomes a combination of the HomePod and the iPad and must become the center of your smart house. It is quite possible that Apple Homeos presents during the WWDC, because that is the event for the software updates of 2025. With Homeos you get access to Facetime, all Apple apps and you operate the smart devices in your home.

New hardware?
The WWDC 2025 therefore promises to be a big presentation. With all operating systems we see a new interface and a series of new features. That is not all, because Apple may also present the completely new homeos. This new operating system includes the Homepad, which means that there is a chance that we will also see that device during the WWDC.
Apple has more often unveiled completely new products at the WWDC. For example, the WWDC 2023 Visionos with the Apple Vision Pro first appeared.
