All Macs that support MacOS 26 get a lot of new possibilities. The brand new software update mainly brings the renewed interface from Liquid Glass to the Mac, but also contains a completely renewed spotlight and new continuity features.

Apple Intelligence
Last year Apple took an important new step in the field of artificial intelligence with Apple Intelligence. With the upcoming software updates, Apple is expanding their smart platform with new possibilities. At the end of this year, Apple Intelligence will also be available in Dutch and you can use new possibilities.
iOS 26, iPados 26 and MacOS 26 add the Apple Intelligence possibilities and functions below.
- New languages ​​for Apple Intelligence: DutchDanish, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (traditional) and Vietnamese.
- Spam recognition: Apple Intelligence can recognize spam messages and telephone calls and treat them independently for the user.*
- Genmoji extended: It is already possible to make your own emoji with Genmoji, but Apple has expanded this function by mixing immediately existing emoji with each other.
- Image Playground with new styles and direct link with chatgpt (data protected)
- Live translate: Apple adds live translating to its software, so that users can immediately translate written and spoken text translated into supported languages, I almost all apps.*
- Apple Intelligence in assignments app: Users can make assignments and automation with the help of AI, where even starting users can make useful shortcuts using natural language.
- Memories: With Apple Intelligence, the memories app can propose tasks, groceries and follow-up based on e-mails or other text on your device. It can also categorize automatically related memories in sections within a list.
- Foundation Models Framework: Developers get access to Apple’s AI model so that this Apple can integrate intelligence into their apps, all data and data remain locally and are not shared with the developer.

Liquid Glass
The biggest change is of course the new Liquid Glass Interface. This is immediately reflected in the style of symbols, menus, apps, windows and system buttons. New icons, extra layers, user interface elements and more is also used.
The new interface is loosely based on Visionos and is characterized by glassy, ​​transparent elements, rounded buttons and floating menus. This emphasizes the simplicity, which is good for the user experience.
