Apple starts service program for power problems with Mac Mini with M2 chip

Are you in possession of a Mac Mini with M2 chip, and can it sometimes be difficult or no longer hired? Then you may be eligible for the new Apple service program to have the Mac Mini repaired for free.

After research, Apple has established that the power facilities of a very small percentage of the Mac mini devices may show problems. The affected computers were produced between 16 June 2024 and 23 November 2024 and are eligible for free repair.

Are you in possession of a Mac Mini with M2 chip? Then you may be eligible for a free repair of the computer. Apple has established that the power facilities of a very small percentage of Mac mini computers may show problems. As a result, you can no longer switch on your Mac. Below we explain how you can register your Mac Mini.

Service process

The affected devices were produced between 16 June 2024 and 23 November 2024 and are eligible for free repair. If your Mac Mini with M2 chip is not eligible, and if it is produced outside this period, it will fall outside service program.

Choose one of the options below to have your Mac Mini repaired. The Mac is investigated prior to each service to check whether it is eligible for this program.

Note: If you have Mac Mini damage that hinders the ability to complete the repair, that problem must be solved before the service. In some cases there may be costs associated with the extra repair.

The program covers eligible Mac Mini for three years after the first sale of the device.

Refund after repair

If you think your Mac Mini with M2 has been hit by this problem and you have already paid to have your Mac repaired, you can contact Apple for a refund.

Additional information

Apple can refuse or limit repairs to the original country or the original purchase region. For Mac Mini devices that have been purchased in countries that are members of the EEA, the service is available in other countries that are members of the honor. This global Apple service program does not expand the standard warranty coverage of the Mac Mini. Consumer rights are not influenced by this program.
