MV Agusta SuperVeloce 1000 AGO: Supervet tribute

Motor racing has always been more than a sport, more than a show, more than competitions between individuals and teams. Motor racing is a universe in itself, where individual traits, courage, pronounced personalities, team dynamics and technical progress have always “danced” together on the thin line between life and death, making all “dancers” heroes, legends and myths.

However, one name is unanimously recognized as the largest of these “dancers”, the greatest of all time, is Giacomo Agostini. With 15 world titles, 123 victories in races for the world championship, 18 Italian champion titles and 10 victories in the Tourist Trophy, the legend of Agostini transcends the figures he collected during his career, just like the MV Agusta motorcycles, which are more than just the sum of their technical specifications.

Giacomo Agostini was a worldwide media stall in an era in which media were still rudimentary compared to today. He was a fashion icon, a role model, was considered one of the world’s most charming men ,fafgood by fans, respected by his rivals and admired by his successors.

MV Agusta proudly presents a tribute to Giacomo Agostini that honors the AGO legend, in the year in which the brand from Varese celebrates its 80th birthday: the Superveloce 1000 ago, a tribute to greatness. The engine is produced in a very limited edition of only 83 pieces, and the Die-hard fans know why: AGO fourth June 16 are 83rd birthday.

Each engine is personally signed by Agostini and, like all Limited Editions of MV Agusta, is individually numbered from 1 to 83 on a real golden plate that is attached to the head head and each engine is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with the same number. But that’s not all: every superveloce 1000 ago has something that has never been shown on a production engine: one detail of each motorcycle has been made with the help of an original trophy that was won by Giacomo Agostini.

The ignition key is in two shells that are milled from solid aluminum and anodized in a striking red color. On one of the sleeves is a copper mint made from an original trophy that Giacomo Agostini won during his career. AGO itself selected the trophy from his personal collection and donated it to MV Agusta, so that the brand can give its customers a true piece of history with the SuperVeloce 1000 ago.

The SuperVeloCE 1000 AGO has a striking streamline of full carbon fiber, professionally manufactured to combine lightweight performance with visual impact. De Kuip is finished in a “stunning color scheme” according to MV with Fire Red Matt and Magnum Silver Matt, the inspiration for this color scheme comes from Agostini’s racem engine.

“The stylists were challenged to imagine what it would look like if AGO would race on a superveloce 1000, and as always our designers delivered a true masterpiece that knows how to combine beauty and performance,” said MV Agusta. As with every MV Agusta who has brought a tribute to AGO, the motorcycle has the number 1 on a yellow background on the side, with the same yellow accent on the CNC-edited headlight ring.

To add value and exclusivity to the SuperVeloce 1000 AGO, 83 customers who buy this unique motorcycle are given the opportunity to ask Dainese a specially tailor -made Dainese custom works demone GP 3x suit and receive an exclusive edition of the AGV Pista GP RR Race helmet.
