Developers Can download a new beta of iOS 26, iPados 26, Macos Tahoe 26, TVOS 26, Watchos 26 and Visionos 26. For public testers This test version of iOS 26, iPados 26, Macos Tahoe 26, TVOS 26 and Watchos 26 is available in July.
The new software updates add a lot of new functions and possibilities. For example, from iOS 26, iPados 26 and MacOS 26 you can use a brand new Liquid Glass design, advanced spotlight for Mac, renewed apps, Apple Intelligence in Dutch and more. The final version will be this fall expected.
Install beta version
Before you can receive the public betas, you must first activate the beta program on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV. You can read back here exactly how you do that. In addition, everyone can register for the developer betas.
Once you are registered, you can download the beta on your iPhone or iPad via Settings ▸ General ▸ Software update. The beta for macOS download via  ▸ System settings ▸ General ▸ Software update. Click here for more information about updating on other devices.
We recommend that you only install the betas on devices that you do not use every day. In the event of problems, a complete recovery of your device may be necessary. In addition, beta’s make your device troughs and the battery life is drastically shortened.

If you have problems with the beta, you can choose to remove the beta version and go back to the last official version. Fortunately, you can easily downgrade iOS 26 and go back to the previous version of MacOS.
