New function WhatsApp
There will be a new function to WhatsApp! The messaging service regularly adds improvements that first appear in a test version of the application. In the latest test version of WhatsApp, messages get a handy new function. It becomes possible to respond directly to messages in group discussions. These responses are then grouped under the message, so that group discussions remain much clearer.
It had been clear for some time that this function is coming to WhatsApp on Android devices. The message service has already added the feature to the test version for Android, but the option was still missing at iOS. This has changed with the latest test version of WhatsApp. On the iPhone and iPad, messages in WhatsApp will soon receive a handy new function.
WhatsApp introduces Threads
The new function in WhatsApp ensures that a conversation can arise among messages. You can already respond to messages, but this comment will then appear as a new message in the (group) conversation. In the next version of WhatsApp there will be an option, because then you can also respond directly under a message. This reaction is not displayed in the conversation, but only appears if you tap it.
With this improvement, mainly group discussions remain much clearer. All reactions under a message are collected in a ‘thread’, where you only see in the group conversation how many responses a message has. Do you want to open it? Then you have to tap the message so that all responses are folded out. Mainly in busy conversations this is a handy function, so you prevent you from missing messages in WhatsApp due to the many reports in a group.

In the new version of WhatsApp, related messages are clearly bundled in a thread. The new position comes to messages in both private and group discussions, but is probably mainly useful to the latter. Certainly in group discussions with many participants, messages can follow each other quickly, with which the overview is sometimes hard to find. WhatsApp is changing with Thread’s.
It is not yet known when the new function will come to messages in WhatsApp. The messaging service usually tests features for a few weeks to months before they become available for all users.
