4 iPhone tips to make PDFs on your iPhone
If you make a PDF, the original layout will be retained regardless of which program it will be opened. In addition, a PDF compresses the file without this being at the expense of quality. You can create a PDF of a website, a photo or e-mail, and you don’t have to install extra software for it!
1. Make pdf via ‘print off’
This is the easiest way to make a PDF. It works as follows:
- Open the file or website that you want to create a PDF;
- Tap the Deel button and then on ‘Press’;
- Tap the Deel button again and choose ‘Save in files’;
- Choose the desired folder and tap ‘Save’ to save the PDF.
2. Making a screenshot
You can also create a PDF via a screenshot. The advantage of this is that the file is stored as one long document instead of divided into A4 pages. This is more pleasant for websites. The process is similar to the steps described earlier, but is slightly different.
- Open the website that you want to make a PDF;
- Make a screenshot of it (side button + volume up);
- Tap the preview at the bottom left of the picture;
- In the gray bar you tap on ‘whole page’ to save the entire webpage;
- Tap the part button at the top right and then on ‘Save in files’;
- You can now find the PDF in the files app.
3. Make a pdf file via ‘Markeringen’
Do you want to make a PDF that you also want to add some markings to? For example, by marking a few words, circling or placing a text yourself? That is best through ‘Markeringen’. It works well for websites, but not for photos and text files. You better use the first method for that. It works like this:
- Open the website that you want to make a PDF;
- Tap the part-button at the bottom;
- Scroll down and tap ‘Markings’;
- Add your markings;
- Tap ‘ready’ and then on ‘Save file in …’ to save the file;
- Choose the folder in which you want to save the PDF file.
4. Make pdf via ‘options’
Finally, you also have the option of a PDF file via the ‘Options’ function in your browser. This method is especially useful if you quickly want to share a web page as a PDF file with others. It works like this:
- Open the website that you want to make a PDF;
- Tap the part-button at the bottom;
- Tap ‘Options’ and choose ‘PDF’. Then tap ‘ready’;
- Choose the method you want to share, for example AirDrop or e-mail.
