MOJOGEAR XL ALL-IN-1 Powerbank: USB-C, fast loading and integrated USB-C charging cable

Nowadays you can charge almost all devices via a USB connection. Not only smartphones and tablets, such as your iPhone or iPad, but also flashlights, bicycle trackers, Bluetooth speakers and cameras are easy to charge with USB. Do you often use these types of devices on the road or outdoors, for example during camping? Then a power bank (external battery) is an excellent investment.

With a power bank you simply charge your devices via USB, even when there is no 220V-network current available. Of course, the Powerbank itself must be in advance. Recently we have the XL all-in-1 powerbank from Mojogeear tested in practice.

MojoGear XL All-in-1 Powerbank

The MojoGear XL All-in-1 Powerbank is a modern external battery, made from high -quality lithium polymer with a generous capacity of 20,000 mAh. You can easily read the current battery percentage on the clear display.

On the sides of the Powerbank you will find a fixed USB-C cable in a striking orange color, while on the other side is a separate USB-C-to-lightning cable. This smart design ensures that you are never without a charging cable. Note: the fixed USB-C cable is not intended to charge the power bank itself; For this you use the USB-C port at the top of the device. The packaging contains a USB-C-usb-a charging cable as standard.

The Powerbank supports both Quick Charge 3.0 (QC 3.0) and Power Delivery 3.0, so that you can quickly charge via USB-C with a capacity of up to 18 watts. Thanks to Quick Charge, the USB-A and USB-C ports can deliver a maximum current of 3A at 5V, and 1.5A and 2A respectively at 12V and 9V.

The charging time depends on the mains power adapter used. Fast charging with Quick Charge requires an adapter that delivers at least 18 watts.

With a weight of 323 grams, this power bank is a real powerhouse. However, the dimensions of 126 x 73 x 29 mm make it compact enough to easily take with you in, for example, a backpack. In addition to the power bank itself, the package also contains a short manual and a 15 cm long USB-a-Naar-USB-C cable.

Performance in practice

The Mojogeear Powerbank is a typical external battery with a high capacity that can deliver a maximum of 20,000 mAh. If you assume an iPhone 15 with a battery capacity of 3349 mAh, you would think that you can charge this device almost 6 times (20,000/3,349). In practice, however, this is not the case; The process of charging and the internal components of the power bank also use the necessary mAh itself.

In order not to stand for a disappointment, it is wise to multiply the capacity of the device that you want to charge by 1.5. Then share the maximum capacity of the power bank by that of the device you want to charge. In the case of the iPhone 15 (3349 mAh × 1.5) you will arrive at 5004 mAh.

With a power bank of 20,000 mAh you will therefore be completed at 4 times fully charging (20,000/5004 mAh). That is a lot less than the theoretical value of 6 times that you would initially expect. However, when you use the 1.5 rule, you will never be faced with a surprise.

The MojoGear Powerbank performs well during our tests; We were able to fully charge a completely empty iPhone 15 almost 5 times. In most cases, however, your battery will not always be completely empty if you start charging it.
