Why our birds are currently silent

What could be nicer than being awakened by the bird concert on a spring morning? Even before sunrise, the typical chants sound from bushes and tree tops: Amsel, robin or monk grass mosquito greet the day, especially the early active red tail. The nightingale also sings persistently – from evening to far into the morning. But now, in the middle of summer, it is suddenly quiet in the morning. Where have all the singers stayed?

Nature lovers are noticeable every year that the morning bird concert will decrease noticeably from June. In July and August, many species can hardly be heard or see – much to the discomfort of some observers. Is an illness in circulation? Have stocks been decimated? In most cases, the cause is actually harmless: the summer silence is a natural part of the bird year and has to do with breeding behavior, mouse and the beginning of bird train.
