New button in Spotify
There is another update for Spotify available! The music service regularly rolls out new software versions, with which more functions are added to the application. One of these is a new button that is intended for making playlists. Spotify has given this feature a prominent place in the app, because the button has been added to the menu bar at the bottom of the image.
In addition to ‘Home’, ‘Search’ and ‘Library’, you can also find ‘making’ in the menu bar at the bottom of the app. With the new button you get access to various functions in the Spotify app. It is possible to start a new playlist, a joint playlist, a blend or a jam. Spotify received a lot of criticism of the new feature, because many users were dissatisfied with the placement of the button. The music service has listened to that, because you can finally remove the new button.
Turn off Spotify-Feature
Do you regularly press the new button in Spotify, without the intention? In that case you get a handy feature in the latest version of Spotify, because you can remove the button again. Do you want to remove the button from the menu bar in the Spotify app? Then make sure you have installed the latest software version, which is version 9.0.66. Turning off the button is as follows:
- Open ‘Spotify’ on your iPhone;
- Tap your profile at the top left of the application;
- Choose ‘Settings and Privacy’;
- Go to ‘content and display’;
- Turn off the switch ‘Make button’.
Do you also use Spotify on your iPad and Mac (book)? Then you have to manually switch off the Spotify feature on each device. The Spotify application looks the same on almost every device, so that you can disable the button everywhere under the same settings.
