Shelby GT500 even more powerful with Carroll’s signature

Shelby has already pushed the boundaries of the Ford Mustang with the ‘standard’ GT500, but it can always be crazier. It now proves that with this Signature Edition.

Among all the electrical news of today, there is also great news for those who prefer to just see a lot of cc’s. Shelby has taken his GT500 back to scratch. Although the one with its normally already 770 hp variant of the 5.2-liter V8 received the predicate ‘most powerful Ford ever’ last year, it was apparently not enough. Okay, Hennessey went over it a little later, but now Shelby has also made the GT500 a bit more powerful.

The GT500 Signature Edition, as it is called in full, draws ‘at least 800 horsepower’ (811 hp) from the V8. Shelby has managed to do this by installing a new and more extensive cooling system for the supercharger, so that it can boost the engine just a little bit harder. In addition, the Signature Edition also has additional cooling vents in the hood. Not only to cool the even harder working block, because of course it also looks great. The car is also distinguished by more extensive Shelby striping on the side and of course by the signature of Shelby founder Carroll Shelby. This monster would no doubt have gotten its approval.
