Another update for Instagram is coming! Meta has announced a series of new functions for Instagram. It will soon be possible to relocate messages so that you can share posts and reels from others on your account. Relocation of messages works almost the same as on Facebook. The most important change that Meta has announced is the Instagram map, on which your location is shared with all followers.

Instagram will soon be expanded with a special card. This card appears above your private and group discussions and shows the precise location of your followers. The same applies the other way around: your followers can see exactly where you are. This way other users see your residential and workplace, without you realizing it. Do you want to prevent that? In that case it is important not to give Instagram access to your location.

This is how you prevent it

Instagram will soon get a new feature, which looks like the map in the search my app. The most important difference is that in the search my app per user you have to give permission to share your location, while Instagram will soon do that with all your followers. Would you rather not have that? Then it is wise to adjust the settings of your iPhone, so that Instagram no longer has access to your location. You do that as follows:
