Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess himself on holiday with ID.3

Anyone who encounters a Volkswagen ID.3 on the way to their Italian holiday destination should take a closer look. Chances are that Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess is behind the wheel himself!

The launch of the electric Volkswagen ID.3 is certainly not going smoothly at Volkswagen, and group CEO Herbert Diess is also blamed for that. To prove that he himself has confidence in the all-important hatchback himself, the Chairman and CEO of Volkswagen AG – the group, no longer the brand – gets behind the wheel of an ID.3 this holiday.

On the LinkedIn page of the board chairman and CEO can be seen that Diess and his daughter Caro pick up a gray ID.3 at an ID.3 ‘pop-up-store’ in Munich. Although the whole thing undoubtedly went through the marketing department and ‘casual’ in the German dictionary apparently means rolling up the shirt sleeves, the pictures still look refreshingly like regular holiday snaps.

The ride is not just for fun, as it is reported that the data collected during this holiday ride is simply forwarded to the ID.3 development team. It is not known exactly where the holiday of the Diess family takes place in Italy. It is clear that the entire party should last two weeks.
