The Apple Watch SE 2025 will be on this date
The latest version of the Apple Watch SE dates back to September 2022. So it’s high time for a new version of this popular cheaper Apple Watch. In general, Apple presents new smartwatches at the same time as new iPhones. The iPhone 17 series will be released this year during the ‘Awe dropping‘-Event on Tuesday 9 September at 7 p.m. Dutch time. We expect Apple to announce the Apple Watch 2025.

The Apple Watch SE 2025 naturally has a number of innovations compared to the previous version. We list the most important thing for you.
Design and screen
Initially there were rumors that Apple was working on a plastic housing for the Apple Watch SE 2025, but it seems that those plans have been deleted. The housing turned out not to be cheaper than aluminum to make. The next Apple Watch SE is probably made of aluminum and it will look roughly the same as the current model.
The display does get bigger and gets thinner edges. The current Apple Watch SE is available in 40 mm and 44 mm and is based on the Apple Watch Series 6. The new version of the SE is probably in 41 mm and 45 mm, and is based on the series 7. That looks new and the Apple Watch Se still distinguishes the Apple Watchon screen.
Faster chip
The current Apple Watch SE has an S8 chip based on the A13 Bionic chip, but the Apple Watch Series 10 uses an S10 chip. The series 11 will probably get an even faster chip. This means that Apple may use the S10 for the Apple Watch SE 2025.
A faster chip naturally improves the speed. But it also makes it possible to process some SIRI requests on the device itself. Apple may also add an ultra wideband chip to the next Apple Watch SE. This also makes accurate search and HomePod integration possible.
Health Features
The Apple Watch SE has no ECG or temperature detection options and also offers no sleep apnea detection. It is possible that at least one of these functions will be added to the SE 2025 this year. Sleep apnea is most likely, because no extra hardware is needed for that.
Possibly no Apple Watch SE 2025
It is also possible that the new SE will not be called Apple Watch SE 2025 at all. For example, it could be the Apple Watch 11th. That idea is not that bad at all. The iPhone SE 2022 also received a successor in 2025, but that was not the iPhone SE 2025. Instead we got the iPhone 16th. It is therefore very possible that Apple will continue this naming on their entire budget line.
