For the fifth year in a row, the circuit of Laguna Seca kicked off the fifth round of the Motoamerica super -rich championship “Rainey’s Ride to the Races”, and yes … it was another blast. A total of $ 142,000 was collected for the Roadracing World Action Fund, which brought the total to $ 650,000 in five years.

In the four previous editions of “Rainey’s Ride to the Races”, Motoamerica fans were given the opportunity to experience an unforgettable day: motor riding racing on the Monterey Peninsula and chilling with the same legends on WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
This year that tradition was continued, but with the difference that Rainey was now driving on a specially prepared XSR900 GP, along with no fewer than 9 racing legends.
In a special message, Rainey says that the 2025 edition of “Rainey’s Ride to the Races” was personally for him. “Attaching my leather suit and after 34 years a few laps on Laguna Seca … Wow, was a feeling that I will never forget again,” said the 3-time 500cc Grand Prix world champion.
“Driving on a specially prepared Yamaha XSR900GP, side by side with nine legends of our sport? Unforgettable. Laguna has always had a special place in my heart, and that day was full of emotions that I take with me forever.”
“A thick shout-out to everyone who came to Laguna Seca for the Motoamerica races and Ridey’s Ride supported. What once started small has since become an event that is bigger than I once dared to dream. This is really a ride with a life of its own-year after year.”

“And of course, a huge thanks to the legends that participated: Kenny Roberts, Eddie Lawson, Bubba Shobert, Freddie Spencer, Kenny Roberts Jr., Rick Johnson, Doug Chandler, Ben Spies, Bud Aksland, Kel Carruthers and Ervanemoto.
“The heart of all this? Safety for our drivers. The goal remains: raising money for the Roadracing World Action Fund to be able to buy Airfence and Alpina-soft barriers. Safety is priceless, and I am grateful for anyone who contributes in any way.”
“Also a big Merci on the California Highway Patrol on the road for our safety, Gordon McCall for leading the ride, Baja Cantina for the starting location, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and the entire Motoamerica team. Without you this would not have been possible.”
