The new operating system not only brings a new appearance to your Apple Watch, there are also a lot of Watchos 26 functions. There are 26 that you should not miss!
Design
1. Liquid Glass
Watchos 26 also uses Liquid Glasswith translucent, glassy buttons and interface elements. This is most visible with certain dials, the smart stack and the control panel.
2. Control panel
You can adjust the control panel and add regulators of third -party apps. If you don’t like your changes, you can easily return to the original design.
3. Smart stack
The smart stack uses a new prediction algorithm and gives a notification when there is a suggestion that you can use immediately.
4. Widgets
You can adjust widgets in the smart pile, so that you always see the most important. Apps from third parties are also supported.
Gesture
5. Fast wrist movement
By turning your wrist quickly away from you, you can dampen incoming calls and ignore notifications with one hand.
Health
6. Hypertension reports
The new function for hypertension reports can help detect signs of high blood pressure based on your heart rate data. The function is available on the series 9 and newer and on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Nieuwer.
7. Sleep score
The sleep score is a number for your sleep quality. This takes into account the sleep duration, the number of times you woke up at night and the time when you went to bed.
Fitness
8. Workout Buddy
Workout Buddy motivates you during training and gives useful insights. It is an AI function that is only available for the time being if you put your Apple Watch on English.
9. Workout app
The workout app has a new layout, making options such as customized training sessions more accessible.
10. Media
There is a function for the automatic playing of media. When you switch it on, music is automatically played that fits your training. You can also select your own media to automatically play when a training is started.
To inform
11. Smart reactions
The Message app can propose smart promotions, such as sharing your location, providing an address and more.
12. Smart reactions
If someone asks for certain information in a message, messages can quickly introduce a comment. This function has been improved in Watchos 26.
13. Live translation
The app messages supports translating live, so that incoming messages in another language can be translated into your language. Currently, Dutch is not yet supported.
14. Backgrounds
Personal backgrounds that you make for conversations on the iPhone are synchronized with your Apple Watch.
Telephone
15. Screening of calls
This function requires callers for more information before your iPhone or Apple Watch actually passes.
16. Waiting assistance
If you are put on hold, watch -standing assistance detects when someone is available on the other side of the line and you will receive a message that you can continue the conversation.
Dials
17. Photos
The dial photos uses Liquid Glass for time. The size and location of the time are adjusted based on the image displayed. The Shuffle option also uses recommended content from photos.
18. Flow
Flow is a dial designed for Liquid Glass. It has a colored sphere with liquid glass figures.
19. Exactograph
Exactograph shows hours, minutes and seconds for accurate time registration. If you tap the dial, the minute and seconds are zoomed in, so that you can measure even smaller time intervals.
20. Waypoint
Waypoint is only for the Apple Watch Ultra, but it shows interesting places based on where you are.
21. Hermès
There is a Hermès Faubourg Party-Guide plate for Hermès watches. This shows various animations based on the time of day. Hermès watches are not officially available in the Netherlands. But if you are looking well, you can find them.
22. Ticking seconds
More dials support the refresh rate of 1 Hz on the Apple Watch Series 10 and later. This keeps the second guide always tapping.
23. Gallery
The dial has a new design in which dials are subdivided into collections.
Other features
24. Automatic volume adjustment
The volume of incoming calls and reports is adjusted on the basis of the ambient noise.
25. ‘Live Listening’ transcript
When you use ‘Live Listen’ on your iPhone, you can view a live transcript of conversations directly on your Apple Watch.
26. Notes
The app notes is available on the Apple Watch, so that you can view existing notes and create new ones.
