Triumph is taking a new step in the electric world with the introduction of the TXP series, a series of off-road engine bikes specially developed for young drivers. The TXPs are the result of the collaboration between Triumph and OSET, which has been part of the Triumph family since 2022.
Strictly speaking, the TXPs announced by Triumph may be earlier electric mountain bikes or BMX bicycles than classic motorcycles, but that does not detract from the fact that this is Triumph’s first serious step in the world of electric vehicles is. For young drivers it is already a good portion of motor pleasure, completely without exhaust gases, and the saying still says: “Learned young, is …”.
The TPX series consists of four models, each tailored to a specific age and body size: the TXP-12 for children from three years, the TXP-16 for 5–7 year olds, the TXP-20 for 7–10 year-olds and the TXP-24, suitable for drivers up to 90 kg. All models have adjustable power levels, so that parents can adjust the power and speed to the level of the rider. Gas response and maximum speed can also be adjusted via a PIN code.
The TXPs have a 2-in-1 design, so that they can be used with both saddles (Xplore mode) and without a saddle (trials mode). This way you can easily change between sitting and standing position, depending on terrain and driving style.
Safety is an important part: the electronics is waterproof (IP67), all models have a magnetic safety cord and a two -step start procedure. Suspension and frame are tailored to weight and length of the rider, which offers stability and control.
The TXP series is equipped with a brushless engine, from 600W in the TXP-12 to 1600W in the TXP-24. The engines provide a smooth power output and the lithium batteries offer sufficient capacity for multiple journeys. Charging is done via a removable battery with a rotation and click system.
The light steel frame can be adjusted without tools to grow with the rider. Brakes vary per model, from cable-driven on the TXP-12 to hydraulically with four pistons on the TXP-24, for safe and progressive stops.
The TXPs are designed to let children develop motor skills, coordination and trust, while fun is central. The models offer a safe introduction to off -road driving and make it possible for families to discover the motorcycle world together.
