At the same time as iOS 26, Apple also released tvOS 26 and it contains 7 new features for your Apple TV that you should try out.

7 new features for your Apple TV

Unlike iOS 26, the new tvOS 26 does not have a huge amount of new features. As a result, the features that are new often go unnoticed. Reason enough to introduce 7 of them to you.

1.Liquid Glass

Liquid Glass is subtly present in tvOS 26. Apple has added Liquid Glass to buttons, interface elements and the Control Center. It’s not as feature-rich as Liquid Glass in ‌iOS 26‌ and it blends well with the operating system.

2. Renewed app

The Apple TV app has been updated and now shows more TV shows and movies on the screen at the same time.

3. Profiles

It’s now much easier to switch profiles in tvOS 26. This way you can keep content you like separate from the favorite content of other family members. You can choose a profile when you wake Apple TV from sleep. You will then receive better suggestions based on your personal preferences. It’s a useful way to separate children’s content from adult content.

4. Karaoke

Use you Apple Music Singthen you can use your iPhone as a microphone. The iPhone can also display song lyrics, song translations, and song pronunciations in real time.

5. AirPlay

If you’re using third-party speakers with your Apple TV, you can now set them as standard AirPlay speakers. They are then used automatically, so you no longer have to manually select the right speakers every time.

6. FaceTime

FaceTime has been supported on the Apple TV with an iPhone as a camera since last year. Now there is a new interface with support for Live Translations including subtitles.

7. Screen savers

You can choose your favorite screensaver categories such as skylines, Earth, landscapes and more. Everyone can also choose their own screensavers.
