iOS 26 is of course packed with useful features, but some of them are especially useful for work – we show you 5 of them!
5x iOS 26 features that are useful at work
Of course, the iOS 26 features that we show here are not only useful for work. They can also come in handy privately. We have listed five for you!
1. Set your own snooze time
Before the working day starts, you naturally make sure you wake up on time. And preferably in the way that suits you best. Maybe, like me, you would like to hit snooze once and then it would be nice if you could decide for yourself how long that would be. This is finally possible in iOS 26! This is how it works:
- Open the Clock app;
- Tap ‘Alarms’ at the bottom;
- Set the desired time;
- Turn on the switch behind ‘Slumber’;
- Tap ‘Snooze Duration’ and set the desired duration;
- Tap the check mark at the top right.

2. Use boarding passes in Wallet
Boarding passes that you store in Wallet provide access to relevant information about your flight and the airport. But also to functions of the airline app. Reason enough to use that option.
When you receive a boarding pass, you will be given the option to add it to Wallet. You can also get a supported card via a website, app, or QR code. Usually it is sufficient to tap ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ (if you don’t see this, contact the airline). Now tap the plus sign at the top right and follow the on-screen instructions. To view the airport and boarding information for your flight, do the following:
- Go to the Wallet app on your iPhone;
- Tap the card;
- For more information, tap the three dots;
- Tap ‘Map details’.

3. Fill out and sign PDFs with Preview
The well-known Preview app from the Mac has also been available on the iPhone since iOS 26. It allows you to view, edit, mark up, sign and share PDFs and images, which is of course very useful at work. We show you how to do that:
- Open the Preview app;
- Then open the PDF in question;
- Tap the pencil icon at the bottom;
- Select a field and type text or add your signature;
- Save or send via the Share icon.

4. Record audio and video during video calls
Sometimes you want to record something during audio or video calls, something that was not always easy in the past when you used multiple input sources. In iOS 26, you can easily choose the right microphone for each app, such as the built-in iPhone microphone or a connected Bluetooth microphone, thanks to the new input selector. It works like this:
- Open the app or go to the website you want to record from;
- Open the control panel (swipe down from the top right);
- Tap the orange button at the top of the control panel;
- Tap Input and select an input device.

5. Screen messages from unknown senders
In iOS 26, you can prevent strangers from messaging you directly through the Messages app. They are then filtered out and moved to another folder. You also won’t get notifications about it unless you want to. This is how you set it up:
- Open the Messages app;
- Tap the three lines at the top right;
- Now tap ‘Filter Management’;
- Enable the ‘Screen unknown senders’ option;
To allow notifications from certain unknown senders, tap Allow Notifications, then turn the appropriate categories on or off. For example, you can allow notifications for verification codes.
