Post Mortem
🇳🇴 Drama, Comedy, Mystery
IMDB Score: 7.3/10
1 Season First release: 2021
Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes tells the story of a young woman who is declared dead. Hours later, she suddenly wakes up, with one difference: she has a dark, insatiable thirst for blood. In the meantime, her brother Odd tries to keep the family-run funeral business afloat, but the stagnant mortality rate in the small Norwegian town of Skarnes makes that impossible.
Live must learn to control her new dangerous nature and decide whether she is willing to sacrifice human lives for her own survival, which ironically goes hand in hand with the survival of the family business. You might expect a vampire horror, but that’s not quite it. The series is exciting, but contains the necessary Norwegian humor.

Archive 81
🇺🇸 Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi & Fantasy
IMDB Score: 7.2/10
1 Season First release: 2022
Film archivist Dan Turner is a master of his trade and knows how to restore the most damaged video tapes. Businessman Virgil Davenport invites him for an intriguing proposal. For a considerable amount of money, he asks if Dan can restore and digitize a partially burned archive of video tapes from 1994. Dan does not trust the company, nothing can be found about Davenport’s company and he initially abandons the job. But when he discovers that they are Melody Pendras’ tapes, his interest is aroused.
The restoration takes place in the old headquarters of the Davenport company, which is located in the middle of the woods, a kind of labyrinth that itself hides many secrets. The damaged video material was shot by Melody Pendras, who tried to make a documentary about the residents of the apartment building ‘The Visser’ in 1994. Unfortunately, it never came to that because the apartment burned to the ground that same year. Then he slowly starts to work through the material and an ominous story emerges in the form of a video diary. The series alternates with flashbacks and typical nineties videos in the trend of The Blair Witch Project and The Ring. So old-fashioned horror.
