MV Agusta Brutale Serie Oro: Italian craftsmanship with a surprisingly “reasonable” price

After all the fanfare at the EICMA in Milan, MV Agusta has now officially announced the prices of the Brutale Serie Oro, the new crown jewel within the naked line-up from Varese. The spectacular machine already received a storm of admiration at the fair — and let’s be honest: we expected it to be a lot more expensive.

MV Agusta Brutale Serie Oro: Italian craftsmanship with a surprisingly “reasonable” price

Art on two wheels

The Brutale Serie Oro is MV Agusta at its best: a motorcycle that brings together art, technology and pure emotion. Built around the all-new 950 EVO three-cylinder, good for 148 hp at 11,200 rpm and 107 Nm at 8,400 rpm, the naked combines raw power with refined flexibility. Thanks to the counter-rotating crankshaft and the revised valve system, the engine not only responds faster, but also smoother — with 85% of the torque already available at 3,500 rpm.

The newly developed half-timbered/aluminum frame construction, an extended swingarm and a full Öhlins chassis provide that typical MV balance between razor-sharp agility and stability. The brakes are Brembo Hypure, the tires are Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV, and the electronics are at the level you expect from a top Italo: five driving modes, cornering ABS, traction and wheelie control, GPS security, crash detection and full MV app connectivity via a 5-inch TFT display.

Design with racing DNA

The Serie Oro edition pays tribute to MV’s glory days, with a titanium Termignoni exhaust, carbon detailing, forged wheels and the choice of Pearl Red or Silver Ago. Only 300 numbered units will be built, each with a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty — something rarely seen in this segment.

Price: less intense than expected

MV Agusta is not known for modest price tags, but the Brutale Serie Oro appears remarkably “feasible” for such an exclusive machine.

– Netherlands: €30,500
– Belgium: €26,800
– Germany: €26,100
– Italy: €27,000

Officially, MV Agusta states that the Dutch price is exclusive of BPM, but judging by the price level in neighboring countries, it seems that the € 30,500 will include BPM. In any case, for this level of finish, performance and exclusivity, we honestly expected a figure that started with a four.

The Brutale Serie Oro is exactly what you hope for from MV Agusta: not a rational choice, but a machine that you buy with your heart. And this time, that heart doesn’t have to completely break at the checkout.
