Kia has put the facelifted Stinger on the menu. The ultimate tastemaker within the Kia family has been tackled at detail level. That immediately makes it a lot more modern.
The Stinger is – especially as a GT with 3.3 V6 – the absolute taste maker of Kia. The slick lined five-door liftback was introduced to the world in 2017 and is already blowing its third candle this year. Time for a freshening up.
Virtually nothing changes at the front, Kia mounts only slightly darker LED headlights. More interesting are the changes at the back. Although the shape of the light units remains intact here, just like at the front, the layout of the units is completely new. The two light units are connected to each other by an LED bar running over the entire width of the buttocks. In the current model, the red element that connects the lamps consists purely of a reflective strip. The units themselves are each equipped with ten LEDs, among other things.

Kia Stinger
Kia is not only giving the Stinger new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels, but also a different exterior color. In addition, Kia is introducing two new packages: the Dark Package and the Black Package, although the latter package seems to be only available on the American market. With the Dark Package, the Stinger is decorated with a glossy black finish in the diffuser and the exhaust end pieces are fitted with black attachments. More interesting are the changes that Kia makes to the interior. In fact, the design of the dashboard remains the same. Kia again gives the Stinger a digital 7-inch display between the clocks in the instrumentation, but also mounts a 10.25-inch instead of an 8-inch screen that belongs to the revised infotainment system. The interior mirror has been changed and is now virtually ‘rimless’. Kia gives the Stinger further mood lighting with a choice of 64 colors. Nappa leather is available for the seat upholstery in the colors Saturn Black, Red and Beige.
Kia will release extensive technical specifications at a later stage. The brand is already talking about the arrival of a new engine list, so that too promises to be interesting. Since the introduction of the Stinger, 45 copies have been sold in the Netherlands.
