WhatsApp introduces features
WhatsApp has added a series of new features! The messaging service has added three useful improvements to group conversations. Two of these three new features are immediately available to all users, so you can try them out right away. Are you curious about the new useful features of WhatsApp? 1. Member tags
WhatsApp makes group conversations much clearer, because you can now add member tags under your name. With these labels you describe your position or role within a group, so that it is clearer to other group members who you are. For example, you can add your position within a company during a group discussion with colleagues or indicate what you contribute to the preparation during a weekend with friends. 2. Event reminders
One of the newer features in WhatsApp is creating events in group conversations. This feature will be even better, because you can now send reminders for events. Invitees receive a reminder with the date and time of the upcoming event. WhatsApp has not yet rolled out this feature to all users, but in the coming weeks it will be possible to set reminders for events.
3. Text stickers
Do you want to send a personalized sticker? This is much easier in the new version of WhatsApp, because you can now convert text messages into stickers. The text message then appears in five different stickers designed by WhatsApp. This gives you more options to make your text message stand out in a private or group conversation. To convert your text message into a sticker:
- Open ‘WhatsApp’
- Go to a private or group conversation;
- Tap the square in the typing bar below the chat;
- Choose the symbol with the magnifying glass;
- Enter your text message and finally choose a sticker.

Member tags and text stickers are immediately available in the latest version of WhatsApp. Don’t see the new features yet? Then check whether you have updated WhatsApp to the latest software version, which is version 25.37.76. It usually takes a number of weeks before all users can get started with the improvements in WhatsApp. The messaging service is gradually rolling out new features.
Users will have to wait a little longer for event reminders. WhatsApp has already announced the useful group conversation feature, but has not yet announced when the reminders will become available.
