What are the advantages and disadvantages of Ben, we try to provide clarity with the help of this article. Ben is a subsidiary of Odido and is one of the cheaper mobile providers in the Netherlands. This can be done, among other things, by not having physical stores and by being part of the Odido network. Odido network
As a customer of Ben, you use the Odido network in the Netherlands. The speed of a mobile data connection is partly determined by the type of network connection. Via Odido, Ben uses three data networks: 3G (GPRS/EDGE), 4G (LTE) and 5G. Ben offers standard 5G (maximum 400 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload) for SIM Only and telephone subscriptions. 5G at Ben
Ben offers 5G internet via the Odido network, so that customers with a 5G-enabled phone (such as iPhone 12 and newer or recent Android models) can surf faster than on 4G, with a standard 5G speed of up to 200 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload; Those who want can switch to 5G Extra Fast for an extra €1 per month for up to 400 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload, with the actual speed depending on location, network pressure and signal strength.

If you combine Ben with Odido Internet or Klik&Klaar at the same address, you get customer benefits. In that case, you will receive up to 5 GB extra data on your Ben subscription and a €5 discount per month on your Odido internet. Number portability and eSIM
Like all other providers, Ben also gives you the option to take your telephone number with you. Complete this information when taking out the subscription. You can specify the start date yourself and you will be kept informed of the process via email and text message. Your new Ben subscription will only take effect when the number is transferred to Ben.
Ben offers eSIM as a digital SIM card option for both new and existing customers with a SIM Only subscription, which you can easily download via a QR code instead of a physical card.
Data roaming
Calling, texting and using the internet in the EU falls within your SIM Only bundles. You pay no extra costs within all EU countries, plus the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Ukraine, Andorra, Norway, Iceland, Monaco and Liechtenstein. Manage your bundles yourself
You can perform ‘self-service’ on your subscription via the Ben website. For example, you can easily adjust your calling, texting and data bundles with just a few clicks. This is also possible via the Ben app.
The website and app also allow you to switch services on or off yourself, such as calling abroad, calling service numbers, caller ID and call forwarding. You can also view consumption and invoices.
