With the arrival of iOS 26.4, Apple adds 9 new emoji to your iPhone – we show you which emoji you can expect.
These 9 emoji come to your iPhone with iOS 26.4
Last year it did Unicode Consortium provided a preview of some new emoji. Those emoji are expected to be added to the iPhone in the spring of 2026 with the arrival of iOS 26.4. Here are the nine emoji you can expect around that time:
- Trombone
- Treasury
- Distorted face
- Furry creature (also called Bigfoot or Sasquatch)
- Fight cloud
- Klokhuis
- Orca
- Ballet dancer
- Landslide

For the first time since iOS 18.4
Apple last added new emoji to the iPhone with the arrival of iOS 18.4, an update that was released in March last year. iOS 17.4, iOS 16.4 and iOS 15.4 have also introduced new emojis over the years, so the timing has become predictable in that regard.
It is striking that the Deformed Face emoji is very popular on Discord servers. It’s essentially a distorted version of the flushed face emoji seen below.

The iPhone 15 Pro and newer have an Apple Intelligence feature called Genmoji. This allows you to create your own emoji and you can also combine existing emoji with it. In any case, the new emoji mentioned above will be added directly to the iPhone’s emoji keyboard when you finally install iOS 26.4.
Release iOS 26.4
We still have to wait a while for the emoji of iOS 26.4, because the update will probably come to your iPhone in March or April. Before then, iOS 26.3 will be released first.
