Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently posted one message on If that’s true, it means two things. It has become more difficult to purchase these Apple devices and it suggests that the direct successors are now almost upon us. Reasons not to buy the iPhone 16e and iPad Air 2025 now.
iPhone 17e and iPad Air 2026
The message follows an earlier message from Gurman. That was about Apple’s plans for the next releases, including the iPhone 17e and the iPad Air 2026. According to that message, the iPhone 17e will be as expensive as the iPhone 16e upon release (719 euros). But with new chips and MagSafe support. So it is better not to buy the iPhone 16e, but better to wait for the iPhone 17e. According to Gurman, the new iPad Air would be equipped with the A18 chip and Apple Intelligence, making it a much better choice than the iPad Air 2025.
It looks like the iPhone 17e will have largely the same design as the iPhone 16e. We also expect the same 6.1-inch 60 Hz screen, among other things. According to some rumors, the iPhone 17e will have the same notch in the screen as the current model. Other rumors suggest a Dynamic Island. On the plus side, wireless charging speed may be increased from 15W to 25W.
