Developers can download a new beta of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, tvOS 27, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27. For public testers this test version of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Tahoe 27, tvOS 27 and watchOS 27 will be available soon.
The new software updates add a lot of new features and capabilities. From iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27, you can use a number of new Apple Intelligence functions, the stability of the software has been drastically improved and more. The final version will be this fall expected.
Install beta version
Before you can receive the public betas, you must first activate the beta program on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV. You can read in detail how to do this here. In addition, anyone can sign up for the developer betas.
Once you’re signed in, you can download the beta on your iPhone or iPad via Settings â–¸ General â–¸ Software Update. Download the beta for macOS via  â–¸ System Settings â–¸ General â–¸ Software Update. Click here for more information about updating on other devices.
We recommend only installing the betas on devices you don’t use every day. In the event of problems, a complete repair of your device may be necessary. In addition, betas slow down your device and drastically reduce battery life.
Apple Intelligence
iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 introduce many new features within Apple Intelligence. Siri AI is also part of this, but due to EU legislation, the updated Siri will not be available on the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch; on the Mac and Apple Vision Pro. Developers can install the beta software via Settings â–¸ General â–¸ Software Update â–¸ Beta Updates and choose developer beta.

Downgrade iOS 27 and macOS
If you have any problems with the beta, you can choose to uninstall the beta version and go back to the last official version. Fortunately, you can easily downgrade iOS 27 and go back to the previous version of macOS.
